Gymnocalycium paraguayense cactus Features

 

Morphological characteristics: spherical cactus, flattened or spherical, up to 12 cm in diameter, light green to bright green, bronze in sunlight. 8-12 ribs, 3-9 thorns, flaring outwards, slightly curved.

Flower characteristics: funnel-shaped, dioecious, white, deep pink or wine red in the throat, olive green in the receptacle.

Fruit and seeds: The fruit is spherical or pear-shaped, softens when ripe and does not crack, and the seeds are oval, dark brown to black.
