Agave Potatorum Shoji Raijin

Size: This cultivar typically grows to about 12-18 inches (30-45 cm) in height and can spread to about 2-3 feet (60-90 cm) wide. Its rosette shape remains relatively small compared to other agaves.

Leaves: The leaves are thick, fleshy, and have a blue-green to gray-green color with striking cream or white margins. The leaves are also slightly twisted, adding to the plant's visual interest.

Spines: The edges of the leaves are adorned with small, sharp spines, providing a classic agave texture. These spines are usually dark in color, contrasting beautifully with the lighter leaf margins.

Flowers: Like most agaves, 'Shoji Raijin' will eventually flower after several years. The flowering stalk can grow quite tall, reaching up to 6-10 feet (1.8-3 m), and is adorned with yellow flowers. However, flowering typically occurs only once in the plant's lifetime, after which the plant will die.

• Light

Requires full sun for optimal growth. It can tolerate partial shade but will produce the best coloration and compact growth in bright light.

• Water

• Soil

Prefers well-draining soil, such as a cactus mix or sandy loam. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot.

• Temperature

Thrives in temperatures between 70°F and 90°F (21°C to 32°C). It can tolerate brief periods of cold but should be protected from frost.

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Place it in locations where curious hands or paws cannot reach it.
