Bougainvillea Buttercup

Morphological characteristics: Bougainvillea 'Buttercup' is an evergreen vine-like shrub with curved thorns on the stem and densely hairy young branches. As it grows and develops, the branches will become smooth. Single leaves are alternate, and the leaf shape is mostly oval or lanceolate. The true flowers are small, generally yellow-green, and also milky white. Three true flowers grow together on three bracts, one flower and one bract form a basic unit, three basic units form a primary cyme, three primary cymes form a secondary cyme, and multiple rounds of primary inflorescences form thyrses of different sizes. Its bracts are yellow and very gorgeous.

Growth habits: Bougainvillea 'Buttercup' likes warm, humid climates and sunny environments. It is not cold-resistant, but is resistant to barrenness, drought, salinity, and pruning. The optimal growth temperature is 20-30℃. The leaves will curl and wither when the temperature is below 3℃ in winter.

Light requirements: Bougainvillea 'Buttercup' needs full sun, at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day, which can promote more flowering.

• Water
