Color and Texture: It is densely covered with white hairs that are very fine, silky, and shiny.
Ribs and Thorns: There are 18 to 25 low, rounded ribs separated by linear grooves, about 5-8 mm high. Each areole contains 30 to 40 radial spines that can be up to 0.3 inches (0.8 cm) long and change color from reddish brown to gray with age.
