Growth Habit:

Sansevieria Silver Blue grows in an upright, rosette pattern, with thick, sword-like leaves that stand vertically. It is a slow-growing plant but can reach a height of around 18–24 inches (45–60 cm) over time. The leaves are typically long, slender, and rigid, growing from a central point in a rosette formation.

Leaves:

The leaves of Sansevieria Silver Blue are unique for their striking silvery-blue coloration. The color can range from light silvery gray to a deeper, almost metallic blue-green hue, depending on light exposure and growing conditions. The leaves have dark green margins and faint, horizontal striping or banding, contributing to the plant's attractive appearance. The variegation may become more pronounced in bright light.

Flowers:

While Sansevieria Silver Blue can occasionally bloom, flowering is rare indoors. The plant produces small, tubular, cream or white flowers that emerge on a tall spike. The flowers are fragrant and are typically seen in the summer, but most people grow this plant for its foliage rather than its flowers.

This plant thrives in temperatures between 65–85°F (18–29°C). It does not tolerate frost, so it should be kept indoors during cold weather. Keep it away from drafts, air conditioning, or heaters, as sudden temperature fluctuations can stress the plant.

Sansevieria Silver Blue benefits from occasional feeding during the growing season (spring and summer). Use a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer about once a month. Avoid fertilizing in the winter months, when the plant is dormant and not actively growing.

• Humidity

This plant is adaptable to average indoor humidity levels. It does not require high humidity and is well-suited to drier environments. It can thrive in homes with central heating or air conditioning.
