Sansevieria trifasciata 'Hahnii Jade' Special Care or Planting instructions

  • Light

Hahnii Jade is adaptable to low light, but moderate to bright, indirect light will keep it growing healthy and vibrant. It can tolerate some direct sun but should be protected from strong afternoon rays.

  • Water

Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, especially in low light, as overwatering can quickly lead to root rot. In summer, water every 2–3 weeks, and reduce to once a month or less in winter.

  • Soil

Use a well-draining potting mix, such as cactus or succulent soil. Sansevierias are prone to root rot if left in overly moist soil, so well-draining soil is essential.

  • Temperature and Humidity

This plant thrives in typical indoor temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18°C-29°C). It's also tolerant of low humidity, making it ideal for indoor environments.

  • Fertilizer

Feed with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Do not fertilize in winter.

  • Propagation

Hahnii Jade is easily propagated by division or leaf cuttings, though propagation by division is recommended to maintain the compact rosette structure.

  • Air Purification

Like other snake plants, Hahnii Jade is known for its ability to purify indoor air by removing toxins like formaldehyde and benzene.

  • Toxicity

Sansevieria trifasciata species are mildly toxic to pets and humans if ingested, so keep them out of reach of pets and children.
