Euphorbia Trigona Variegated cactus Features
Shape: Euphorbia trigona 'Variegata' has a tall, upright, columnar growth habit, with multiple vertical stems branching out in a candelabra-like formation. The stems are angular and have ridges along the edges.
Variegation: The green stems are beautifully streaked with creamy white variegation. The white-tipped appearance, which occurs at the top of new growth, enhances the plant's unique aesthetic.
Leaves and Spines: Along the ridges of the stems, small, teardrop-shaped leaves emerge. Between the leaves, sharp spines, often reddish-brown in color, provide a defensive feature.
Flowers: Like many Euphorbias, Euphorbia trigona rarely flowers when cultivated indoors, and its flowers are not particularly showy. The variegation is the main visual appeal.

Euphorbia Trigona Variegated cactus Special Care or Planting instructions
- Light
Prefers bright, indirect light or full sun. Too little light can cause the plant to lose its variegation or become leggy. Outdoors, it does well in partial sun to full sun.
- Water
Water sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings, as it is highly drought-tolerant. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
- Soil
Requires well-draining soil. A cactus or succulent mix with added sand or perlite is ideal to prevent water retention.
- Temperature
Thrives in temperatures between 65°F and 80°F (18°C to 27°C). It can tolerate short periods of cold, but prolonged exposure to temperatures below 50°F (10°C) should be avoided.
- Propagation
Propagated easily from stem cuttings. Allow the cut ends to callous over for a few days before planting them in well-draining soil.
Safety of Euphorbia Trigona Variegated cactus
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Place it in locations where curious hands or paws cannot reach it.
