Anthurium Michigan Special Care or Planting instructions

  • Light

Anthurium 'Michigan' prefers bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while inadequate light causes poor growth and few flowers

  • Water

Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry. Ensure good drainage and do not allow the plant to sit in water for extended periods of time to prevent root rot

  • Humidity

This anthurium appreciates high humidity (60-80%), so feel free to mist them regularly or use a humidifier

  • Temperature

It prefers temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18-29°C). Protect it from temperatures below 60°F and avoid placing it near heating and air conditioning vents or fans

  • Fertilizer

Feed your Anthurium once per month at half strength when it is actively growing. Reduce frequency of fertilization in the winter months. If no new leaves are growing, it does not need to be fertilized

  • Repotting

Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant outgrows its pot. Use an all-purpose potting mix, with additional orchid bark and perlite added, to ensure good drainage and plenty of nutrients

Safety of Anthurium Michigan

Always keep it out of reach of children and animals.
