Hoya kerrii Special Care or Planting instructions

As a climbing plant, provide support such as a trellis or strings to help it climb.

  • Light

Requires bright, indirect light; avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf scorch.

  • Water

Keep the soil slightly moist, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. More frequent watering may be needed during the growing season.

  • Soil

Use well-draining soil rich in organic matter; a special soil mix for succulents is also a good choice.

  • Temperature

Thrives in warmth, with an ideal growth temperature between 18-30°C. It is not cold-hardy, so maintain temperatures above 10°C in winter.

  • Humidity

Prefers higher air humidity, which can be increased through misting or using a humidifier.

  • Fertilization

Apply a diluted liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season; no fertilization is needed in winter.

  • Pruning

Regularly trim away dead leaves and excessive vines to maintain the plant's shape and health.

  • Propagation

Commonly propagated by stem cuttings. Select healthy vine sections, cut into 2-3 node lengths, and insert into soil after the cut ends have dried.
